A few years back, there was a woman from London who joined one of our Paradigm Shift events in Phoenix.
Interestingly, she didn't take this journey alone — she brought her 24-year-old son along.
It came about when she approached her son with the proposal, "I want you to accompany me to a seminar in America. I'll cover all your expenses, including airfare and hotel. This seminar is about paradigms. It's crucial you change yours, and the truth is I'm the one who crafted them. Hence, I would appreciate your presence."
This figure shows only the bottom half of your head (your subconscious mind) because your conscious mind (which would normally be shown as the top half) wasn’t active yet. You were incapable of choosing your thoughts, so your subconscious mind was wide open to everything you were exposed to.
The words, beliefs, and ideas of the people around you, what you heard on the radio, what you saw on television, and the way people talked to each other entered your subconscious mind with no filter.
Consider this - many of your parental thoughts and beliefs are inherited from their ancestors, tracing back generation after generation. Thus, not just your genetic coding but also your system of beliefs are generation-old. Consequently, you might harbor some ridiculous beliefs, a result of your conditioning over time.
The process of your genetic programming commenced as soon as you came into existence. Yet, as demonstrated in the illustration below, the initial programming of your mind took place during your infancy.
Consider how influential our surroundings are on our brain's programming — exceeding even heredity.
As infants, our subconscious minds absorbed everything in our environment without any capacity for rejection.
This initial conditioning continues to cast influence over our lives.
The case of prison recidivism illustrates this best. The environment within the prison, absorbed through conversations revolving around their past crimes, imprints onto the prisoners' subconscious. Like magnets, their energy draws them back to those familiar, problematic environments upon release.
They keep going back because they are in harmony with the people who are there. So, they go back, and they’re right back into it again. They end up spending almost their whole life in prison because of the environment.
That’s how powerful paradigms are.
Changing your paradigm is not a task you can achieve through willpower alone.
There are two ways to change paradigms.
The first one is emotional impact—often profound, stirring, and life-altering—that indelibly shifts your perspective. It's usually of a negative nature, but sometimes it can be positive.
The second method is constant space repetition. By intentionally exposing yourself to new ideas and concepts repetitively, you make room to replace old beliefs that are live deep within your subconscious mind.
Initiate by choosing a new belief consciously; a belief that aligns with the results you want to achieve and habits that lead you up to those results. Then, stamp this idea on your subconscious mind by focusing on it, visualizing it, and consistently repeating it with conviction as if it's already a reality.
In addition, consciously swap not productive habits with productive ones. Or else, you will risk creating another bad habit in place of the previous one.
Even a minor adjustment in your old paradigm can induce monumental differences in the results you witness in your life. But remember, you can't materially change your life until you change your paradigm.
Nevertheless, this isn't an easy task without professional guidance. If you aspire to transform your deepest desires into tangible results, allow us to assist you, as that's what we do best.
